The Surprising Truth About 5 Years of Podcasting

Hi Reader,

This month marks something really special for me… five years of podcasting!

When I started, I had no idea where this journey would take me. I just knew I wanted to share helpful tools and real conversations about anxiety, emotions, and life. Five years and hundreds of episodes later, I’ve learned so much—not just about podcasting, but about myself.

In this new episode, I’m sharing 5 lessons from 5 years of podcasting.
Here’s a sneak peek:

  • Why I’m definitely not lazy (even though I thought I was).
  • How I discovered creativity in ways I never expected.
  • The big pivots I resisted… but desperately needed.
  • What it really means to create something from nothing.
  • And the hard truth: success isn’t a straight line.

Whether you’ve been with me from the very first episode or just joined recently, I want to say thank you. Truly, your support and listening ears are the reason I keep showing up behind the mic every week.

I’d love to hear which of the five lessons resonates most with you—just hit reply and let me know.

Here’s to the next five years,
Cynthia

Your teen might not say, “I’m anxious.” Instead, you might see:

  • Irritability over small things
  • Perfectionism or procrastination
  • Emotional outbursts that seem “out of nowhere”

These aren’t character flaws. They’re clues. 🧩

Hi friend, Let’s be honest — homework time can feel like the worst part of the day. The reminders, the eye rolls, the “I don’t have any homework!” moments… sound familiar? This week, I talked with Jessyka Coulter, the founder of ACE Cookie Tutoring, who helps teens (and parents) finally understand why homework battles happen — and how to stop them. She explained that the real issue usually isn’t motivation or laziness — it’s missing study skills. Kids often don’t know how to learn, so school...

Hey Reader, Hey, Quick question: Have you ever been on vacation and felt anxious instead of relaxed? Yeah, me too. And I finally figured out why. Turns out, I love routines way more than I realized. When they disappear on vacation, so does my sense of calm. But here's what's interesting - I'm not rigid about WHAT I do (I love variety in activities, clothes, trying new things). I just need consistency in the STRUCTURE and timing of my day. In this week's podcast episode, I'm breaking down: Why...
