Why vacations sometimes don’t feel relaxing (and what to do about it)

Yeah, me too. And I finally figured out why.

Turns out, I love routines way more than I realized. When they disappear on vacation, so does my sense of calm.

But here's what's interesting - I'm not rigid about WHAT I do (I love variety in activities, clothes, trying new things). I just need consistency in the STRUCTURE and timing of my day.
