🤔I realized I may have confused some of you!

Hi Reader

It occurred to me this week that some of you might be a little confused about who I serve these days!

Those who have been in my community for a while know me as a teen anxiety coach and former school counselor. Several years ago, I created The Anxiety Maze Navigator, a 12-week, 1:1 anxiety management program for ages 14 to 24ish. Many of you joined my email list back then because you wanted better tools to help your child with anxiety, or because you were considering working with me directly.

Over the summer, however, you have mostly heard about my new program, The Resilient Launch. This program was created specifically for college freshmen to help them navigate stress and overwhelm around the non-academic side of college. Transitioning to college is one of the biggest adjustments a young person will face, simply because so many major life changes happen all at once. I created this program because I saw so many young adults heading off to school without the support they needed for life management and basic "Adulting 101".

If you are new here, or if you thought I stopped offering anxiety coaching for teens, I want to reassure you that I am still doing both! I have been highlighting The Resilient Launch recently so families looking for that specific college support can find me.

Whether your teenager needs help managing anxiety or navigating the jump into college, I would love to connect. I enjoy meeting with parents to learn about your unique situation. These conversations help me create better resources, and if I know another specialist in my network who would be a great fit for your child, I am always happy to share their contact information with you.

A quick update on The Resilient Launch: Enrollment for The Resilient Launch opens late next week. To keep this experience high-touch and personalized, I am capping this founding group at just 10 families. Because founding families will be helping me shape the program, it is being offered at a deeply discounted rate that will not be available again.

I will be opening enrollment to my priority list first. If any spots remain after that, I will share them with this main email list and on social media.

If you would like to chat about either program or simply need help finding the right resources for your teenager, feel free to schedule a time on my calendar. I would love to listen and offer support.

Hi Reader Have you ever had a conversation with your teen or young adult that sounded something like this? “Do you think I’m going to fail this test?” “No. You studied. You’re going to be fine.” “But what if I forget everything?” “You won’t. You know this.” “But are you sure?” You answer the question once. Then you answer it again. By the fifth time, you may be wondering, “What else can I possibly say?” Here is the tricky part: Your answer probably did help. It just did not help for very...

Hi Reader I have been working on an interactive board for an upcoming Back to Campus event. At the top, it asks one simple question: What feels hardest right now? Students can place a dot beside one of six answers: Keeping up with everything Meeting people Asking for help Stress and overthinking Sleep and energy Roommates and boundaries After they choose, they can take a card with one small strategy they can try. I am really curious to see where students put their dots, but I am even more...

Hi Reader Today, I want to talk about the kind of quiet, sneaky stress that happens in almost every freshman dorm room during the first few weeks. When parents hear the word anxiety, we often picture full-blown panic attacks or tearful 11 PM crisis calls. But day-to-day anxiety in college freshmen usually doesn't say, "I'm anxious." Instead, it dresses up as everyday friction. The Canvas Paralysis: Staring at an open assignment portal for an hour, overwhelmed by not knowing how or where to...
